Boeing F-15C Eagle Model Scale:1/63

The single-seat F-15C, together with the twin-seat F-15D, came as the second batch of F-15 Eagles. The aircraft officially entered production in 1978 with the first flight held in February. Simply put, the difference between the F-15C and the F-15A was “upgrade” - more than the usual variant-to-variant differences. McDonnell Douglas referred to the aircraft's first stage of modifications the Production Eagle Package (PEP 2000). This basically saw an increase in everything for the plane: an increase in bomb load capacity, fuel capacity, and maximum takeoff weight. It was also during this stage they equipped the F-15C Eagle with the APG-63 radar which spearheaded the use of a programmable signal processor (PSP). The PSP allowed the radar to be reprogrammed whenever new armaments or equipment are added to the plane. Ultimitely, it was found that the PSP a good move thus more upgrades followed. In 1983, McDonnell initiated its F-15 Multistage Improvement Program.
