Product Description
Considered a challenger of the US F-86 in Korea, the MiG 15 has shocked the West with its capabilities as a high-altitude interceptor. As an air-superiority fighter, the MiG jet was outfitted with a single engine and swept-back wings. It also featured the first ejection seat and a pressurized cockpit. Originally from China, the aircraft was designed by the Soviets back in 1946 as a way to meet the urgent need to have a high-altitude day interceptor. However, its design and equipment (with the exception of the engine) was Russian.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
